National Autistic Society (Barnsley EarlyBird Programme)
The EarlyBird and EarlyBird Plus programme has been developed by the National Autistic Society to empower and support parents and carers of young children with a diagnosis of an autistic spectrum disorder. It is an autism specific early intervention programme. Parents meet and work with other parents of young children with autism. Services offered include group support, practical support, advice and information.
The National Autistic Society also run the Healthy Minds course from the Dodworth based EarlyBird Centre.

Parent support programmes for parents of children with autism.
EarlyBird is for parents whose child has received a diagnosis of an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and is or pre-school age (not yet of statutory school age).
EarlyBird Plus is for parents whose child has received a later diagnoss of an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and is aged 4-8 and in Early Years or Key Stage One provision.
