Jump Family Centre: Things to Do
Jump Family Centre is situated on Church Street right in the heart of the village of Jump. We have lots of fun groups running throughout the week on different days and at different times for families with children aged 0-19years old.
Stay and play session - This session allows children 1 to 5 years of age to come along and socialise with others of the same age range or their main carer. Exploring and experimenting with different activities and resources. Getting to know others, helping to socialise and learning to share and Interact with people around them. Stay and play runs Monday 10-11.30.
Busy feet -This session allows children 1 to 5 years of age to come along and socialise with others of the same age range or their main carer. Exploring and experimenting with different activities and resources. Engaging in physical movement activities and developing literacy skills through books and singing as well as getting to know others, helping to socialise and learning to share and Interact with people around them. Session day - Friday Session time -10-11.30.
Tiny toddlers - This session allows children 0 to 2 years of age to come along and socialise with others of the same age range or their main carer. Exploring and experimenting with different activities and resources. Engaging in messy activities to enhance and help children develop skills through play, helping to socialise and learning to share and Interact with people around them. Session day - Tuesday Session time -10-11.30.
Barefoot and Senses – this session provides children aged 0-2 years a safe environment to explore Barefoot play Walking barefoot develops a sense of body awareness or proprioception, Feet and Toes are full of nerve endings; walking barefoot helps stimulate brain development co-ordination, balance and spatial awareness. Come along and join us at one of our groups. Session day - Wednesday Session time -1.30-2.30.
Come along and join us at one of our groups, we kindly ask for a donation of £1.50 per family and this will cover the cost of snacks and resources.
Baby Clinic is available on Friday mornings from 10am-12pm – Booking essential through your health visitor.
Cooking on a Budget Tuesday afternoons 1pm-2.30pm
why not join us in cooking up lots of healthy meals whilst all under a budget, we will provide all food for this course.

Are you a parent/ carer of a child with SEND or additional needs?
Why not come along on Tuesday afternoons and join in the SMILE group from 1pm. You will need to book a place by contacting the centre. This session supports children with individual needs, and offers support and advice to families.

- We ask for a small donation of £1.50 per family in all our play based groups which will go towards snacks and resources. During snack time we aim to offer a field to fork approach. We encourage children to eat healthy snacks and discuss where food comes from.
