Richard Quinn School of Drums
What is it?
The Richard Quinn drum school offers lessons for all ages and abilities from beginners to working pros. Our fun relaxed approach to teaching helps students to enjoy lessons, and feel the self-rewarding enjoyment that learning the drums can bring. Lessons are individually tailored to each student’s needs. Our main objective is that each individual takes their drumming in the direction that they wish.
Whether it's passing your grades with the London College Trinity Rock School or getting in a band or just playing for fun our team of tutors will get you there. The studios sport electric as well as live drums. All learning facilities are provided in this high-tech environment proven to increase learning speeds.
Between the team of six drum tutors it is fair to say that every area, style, and aspect that a new student would want to uncover in the world of drumming can be catered for. There is a range of qualifications that the tutors can boast ranging from various music degrees, the credit of grade 8 through the highly acclaimed Rockschool examination board, and the promise that within your first 6 lessons you will be jamming along to a song

What lessons are available?
Our taster lessons are designed to be a no obligation session that gets you in and playing to see what we do, introduce you to the school and meet your tutor. We offer 1 hour and 45 min taster lessons depending on the duration of lesson that you plan on taking up with us on a regular basis. We'll arrange the taster lesson at a time slot that's good for you to commence regular tuition after the taster lesson.
What happens at a session?
Drums are incredibly rewarding and fun to play. It is not as hard as you might think to get started. We'll get you playing your first drum beat during your first lesson and you'll be familiar with the drum kit in no time.
If you have played drums before but you feel the need to brush up on your skills or just some fresh ideas you are in the right place. In your first lesson we'll assess where you're currently at and discuss your aims going forward with drumming.
Advanced-level players can benefit from specialist drum lessons, focussing on developing technical skills, reading skills, taking grades or just learning new concepts and styles. Ideal if you need to get back in shape after a bit of time off from drumming.
Who will be teaching my child?
All lessons are conducted on a one-to-one basis by CRB police checked tutors with a wealth of teaching and performance experience.
