Priory Nursery has a new conservatory space that opens out into our garden. The large garden is fully secure and well equipped with resources. Our nursery has three rooms which the children can access at any time which enables them to choose their own activities and materials. We encourage our children to be independent, creative, problem solvers as these are good life skills to learn. We have access to other areas and Services within the Family Centre including a soft play room with sensory equipment. We also offer family support and parenting programmes. We have FREE childcare places for 2,3 & 4 years olds, also available fee paying places for a total of 68 children. We are also offering places for children eligible for the Extended Funding Entitlement of 30 hours.
Sessions available are; Mornings, afternoons and all day if required. Our Barnardo's staff are experienced and qualified Early Years Practitioners. Two staff are trained to deliver parenting programmes.
Our Ofsted Inspection rated us as good. We specialise in behaviour managment using Webster Stratton Strategies.

The Nursery is located on the first floor of Priory Campus. A lift and stairs are available for anyone accessing from the car park, and direct access is available for those on foot from Pontefract Road.

As some staff are trained Webster Stratton Facilitators we can offer access to our parenting programme with additional staff and family support. We specialise in behaviour management.
We have staff experience with varying Special Educational Needs including Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

We have an inclusive environment and a very experienced SENCO
We periodically sent out evaluations to parents and when planning trips ask parents to help choose. Some theme days are decided this way. Parents named the centre rooms in a competition. Regular news letters are sent out and we have a suggestion book. Each parent is given a daily sheet with their childs activities on, staff are available at all times for discussion, digital photo frames show childs activities, parents are invited to nursery for special activities eg gardening day, sponsored toddle, Christmas party, newsletter, information board, leaflets and letters, photo books and boards. We also run ecat workshops. We can refer within the centre to other services
