Railway Children Elsecar Nursery
Railway children nurseries do not run on a session basis. We have a friendly, flexible approach to meet the needs of you and your children. We charge by the hour so we can fit around your hours of work and shift patterns. We offer different types of contracts to suit each parents needs; as & when required, term time only and 51 week.
We offer wrap-around care to compliment our full day care. Breakfast, after school plus a holiday club is available and we collect and drop off to most of the local schools around us.
Breakfast club is based at our Elsecar setting, and we do offer wrap around cover for those children who's siblings attend.
After School and Holiday Club is based at our Brampton Cortonwood setting in Barnsley. We would collect your child from the local school and transport them down to Brampton to the after school club.

Schools Extended Local Offer Response
- How do we offer support to children or young people with a special educational need or disability?
As an early years setting we work within the Early Years Foundation Stage where we observe and assess and plan to each individual child. We are able to identify children who may need additional help if you have any concerns feel free to talk to us. We work closely with all our families.
We are inclusive, we ensure 1:1 is available if necessary. There are Special Educational Needs and Disability Coordinator (SENDCO) trained staff.
Relevant training will be attended
The EYFS is an individualise play based curriculum
We observe, assess and plan to each child's individual needs and feed back to parents verbally daily, we have termly parents evenings, transition meetings, and we are available whenever necessary.
In setting all children have a named keyworker, all staff are aware of each child's individual needs. In each area there is a trained SENCO and we pride ourselves on being a welcoming setting.
We have numerous settings that children move on to: we have a transition document that is shared with parents/ carers and local schools with whom we have a good relationship with, inviting them to visit children in setting.
In partnership with parents/ carers, any other professionals and our observations of your child.
