Hi, I'm Katie,
Welcome to MTB for Mental Health
I'm a regular mountain biker that has struggled with my mental health for most of my adult life. I have started this group to help people discover mountain biking and the joy it can bring to your life. Look out for my wellness rides hosted in and around Sheffield.
I run blog promoting the benefits of Mountain biking for your mental and physical health.
A club for mountain bikers of all ages to ride together every two weeks in the glorious peak district. Most activities will be for beginners and a couple will be for the more proficient cyclist! All are welcome, the aim is to be social and have fun.
Please bring a helmet and a sense of adventure!
You, your bike and any equipment are your responsibility.

Hi, I'm Katie aka MTB for Mental Health
I have struggled with my mental health for most of my adult life.
After seeking help from the NHS, I began my recovery through cognitive behaviour therapy and my outlook on life began to change.
All through this recovery period I was looking for something that would help me rediscover a passion in my life.
I happened to stumble on to a mountain biking video on the Red Bull Facebook page and contacted my best friend to see if she would fancy trying it too! Luckily she did and I haven't looked back since!
So please come along with my journey and my opinion on how mountain biking can help your mental health, just like its helped me and my friends.
