Hello and a very warm welcome to Auntie Bev's. I live in Thurnscoe with my husband and our youngest child who is currently at university aged 19. Our older children are 24, 26 and 29 and have left home. I provide a safe, caring and stimulating learning environment for your child following the Early Years Foundation Stage.
My priorities are - to keep your child safe, help them to develop, to meet their individual needs and offer them comfort and reassurance. We live in a 3 bedroom detached property with lots of toys and resources. We have a good size enclosed garden. I have 14 years childminding experience of babies, toddlers, school children and multi-cultural children and twins.
My Training: Paediatric First Aid. Health & Safety. Food Hygiene. Safeguarding Children (designated lead). Internet Safety for Children and teens. Conflict Management in Children and Send Reforms.

- How do we offer support to children or young people with a special educational need or disability?
I will ask parents/carers and anyone linked to the said child if they require any extra help. Parents will be able to discuss matters with me regarding their child and I could help them if they require further help from early years/health visitors etc.
I will also support any children with SEND by providing special educational needs resources and sensory toys. By updating my training and any SEN legislation. I have attended the new SEND reforms meetings.
By continually following the Early Years Foundation Stage for all children, tracking their progress and comparing their progress to the Early Years Outcomes. Also by doing the 2 year old checks and a daily diary of activities, play, learning and rest. To tailor the curriculum to the child's needs according to their abilities and development.
I and the parents will know how the child is doing by tracking their progress and showing this to the parents, getting them to regularly sign it and encourage the parents to discuss issues with me so we can consistently support the said child.
By providing a stimulating, caring and safe environment for them to learn and to rest.
By providing nutritional food and drinks
By continually involving the parents/carers in the child's progress and development
By making sure they get plenty of fresh air and are involved in outside activities
By listening to the child
By enabling the child the appropriate environment to play and learn
I will discuss whether the child will need extra support with their parents and any other health care professionals with the permission of the parents and hopefully all parties will come to the appropriate decision that will benefit the long term development of the child.
The parents will be involved in the daily diary, tracking, learning journals of their child and I will encourage them to write and provide feedback so we can all be consistent regarding the learning, progress and development of their child.
The parents could advise me how their child moves and plays and if they require extra help.
They could advise me how the rooms in my house could work for their child and I would be happy for them to suggest any changes they may want to benefit their child.
They can come and look around whenever they want and see how I have enabled an environment i.e moving a piece of furniture to help the child get around.
They could advise me if something will not work as they know more about their child than I do.

- How accessible is our setting?
They will be included by going to parks, play areas and visiting children's centres and farms.
I can take them in my car
I will talk to more able children and explain to them that certain children may need more help and time to do certain activities
Children with special needs will be included in conversation and will not be left out
I will encourage the children to talk as a group so they can all learn from each other.
I will also be inclusive by providing special educational resources for the child's needs

By observing the children in my care so I can spot anything that might give me concern for example if a child is not hearing correctly or not talking correctly etc.
