Danielle Hopkinson (Childminder)
I am an Ofsted registered childminder.
I have two boys of my own aged 12 and 8 years old, who both attend local schools.
I aim to offer an exciting and fun filled environment, where children can learn and develop through their learning. I have multiple activities available both indoors and outdoors including trips to local farms, playgroups and parks.
All children will be given the opportunity to help prepare meals/snacks and bake. We'll enjoy cosy film afternoons with hot chocolates in winter and healthy cold drinks in summer. All children will help make play dough and be encouraged to pay with gloop and have messy play.
We'll enjoy walks in the woods in all seasons and walks to feed the ducks and at times take a picnic along with us too.
I'll keep parents up to date with regular photos of their child throughout the day, for that peace of mind.

Schools Extended Local Offer Response
- How do we offer support to children or young people with a special educational need or disability?
I will support any children in any way that they need. Should your child need any specific training that I do not currently hold I am happy to discuss this with you to see if the training is available for me to access. I will work with you to ensure that you feel comfortable leaving your child with me.
I work in partnership with parents and any relevant professionals finding out about the child and their specific needs.
The Early Years Foundation Stage ensures I keep records of your child's development and achievements and share these with you regularly, if any concerns arise i will discuss this with you and seek further advice if necessary.
I will work with local schools and nurseries and support all children though transitions from my setting to school/nursery, this will include helping children learn things like getting their coat on individually, taking shoes off and on and the use of cutlery.
- What specialist training, experience and expertise do we have relevant to children with special educational needs and disabilities?
Although I do not hold any specific SEND training at present, I am more than willing to complete training to meet your child's needs.
- How accessible is our setting?
I have a step into the house from the front door and back door. My Playroom, kitchen and living room are all based on the lower floor along with a downstairs toilet.
