Tracy Goodyear
Hello, my name is Tracy and I became an Ofsted registered childminder in April 2019.
I live with my partner in a 2 bedroomed house with a large secured garden so that we can enjoy outside whenever possible. I attend playgroups and soft play areas too, ensuring children can access a wide variety of fun activities.
I have a grown-up daughter who is now a teacher and a mum herself.
I have had a lot of experience working with young children, including working as a teaching assistant in a Primary School for 21 years. Delivering programs individually and also to small groups in order to assist with their reading, writing and mathematical skills. I have also worked with children with learning difficulties and did courses where necessary to improve my ability to assist whatever the childs needs were including 'Speech and Language' and 'Read Write Inc.' and many more courses before registering as a Childminder.
I look forward to welcoming more children and families into my home. I provide a cooked dinner, snacks of fruit and drinks throughout the day.

I use EYFS to track and plan each child’s specific needs, this identifies any areas that need extra support. I would then plan activities that the child shows interest in to give the support needed.
I would be willing to attend any training required for a specific child. I would purchase resources where appropriate and practicable with planning for each individual child
Communicate with parents and giving regular updates and discuss plans
All children in my care are given guidance for their social-emotional development.

- How do we offer support to children or young people with a special educational need or disability?
Observations and assessments will be done throughout their learning journeys.
Accessing training will give individual support.
Discussion with parents and other health professionals.
- What specialist training, experience and expertise do we have relevant to children with special educational needs and disabilities?
I would discuss with parents and other health professionals what training I should get to meet their needs.
I work with support from the Local Authority so I have a wide range of specialists available to ask for advice and support.
If your child has any specific needs then please feel free to discuss this with me and I will work to meet the needs of your child.
I am Paediatric First Aid Trained.
- How accessible is our setting?
Risk assessments would always be undertaken and would need to discuss with parents about the mobility of their child due to my property having steps to the front and rear doors and toilet on the first floor.
