Care Bears is an award winning setting & is a fun, caring & homely environment where children learn through activities & play.

We have also been awarded a certificate of excellence from the Mayor of Barnsley.

It is a very unique setting where A MAGICAL & ENCHANTING ADVENTURE AWAITS all children and has to be seen to be believed.

The setting is a very safe and secure place for your child to grow up and develop in and we have a wide range of resources for your child to develop at their full potential.

The children get to experience a wide range of activities and explore the outdoors as we live in the countryside and have a variety of wildlife & nature surrounding our setting.

Also throught the year we plan a wide range of activities and topics including a Chinese Week, Colour Weeks, Halloween Week and a Christmas Month which is one of the highlights at Care Bears as we have a Spectacular Christmas Lights switch on each year.

We have a sand and water marquee and mud kitchen where children can learn and experience sensory play.

There is also a Greenhouse and allotment area for the children to learn about growing fruit and vegetables and then harvesting them and eating what they have grown.

We also serve a variety of homemade and cooked meals where we also use some of our home grown produce which provides children with a varied & healthy diet.

We are registered to accept children from birth to 18 years of age.

We also offer Early Education Funding for 2,3 and 4  year old children.

We are a full day care setting for children from birth to 5 years, but we also offer a Before School Friendship Club, After School Friendship Club and an Holiday club Monday to Thursday during term time for Hoyland Common Primary School and Birdwell Primary School.

We hold a Grade 5 from the Food Standards Agency.

We offer a wide variety of activities for all children of all ages and have a large child friendly setting that is dedicated just for the children to play in.

At the After School club children get to experience and learn lots of wonderful activities from Gardening, Baking, Model Making and lots of Arts and Crafts including painting and drawing in our new Arts and Crafts area.

Local Offer

Description

Our setting is a bright and Stimulating welcoming place for all children who may have disabilities although our setting does have limited access for wheelchair users but i would try to adapt my setting where possible if required.

We currently hold a SEND and SENCO certificate and would take further training if i needed to accomodate a child with disabilities. I am able to offer the universal 15 hours Early Education funding for 3 and 4 year olds and i am also able to offer the 15 EEF extended hours snd can offer these hours until term after your child's 5th Birthday.

We have attended SENCO training but we currently have no specialist services available at our setting.

There is a step to the entrance to our setting and we currently have no downstairs toilet facilities.
