My mission is to provide a safe caring and fun environment for children of all ages, a home-from-home.
I have 6 years childminding experience and over 25 years of working in childcare. I have 5 children of my own, the youngest is 20 months the oldest is 18 years.
I follow the Early years Foundation Stage the same as a nursery.

- How do we offer support to children or young people with a special educational need or disability?
Through regular assessments and observations related to the Early Years Foundation Stage. Starting points and parental discussion will also help to inform.
Dependent on the needs of the child
Based on age/stage related needs follow EYFS.
Regular observations and assessments will be shared with parents and they will be encouraged to enhance/extend learning at home.
All children will be supported in understanding and expressing their emotions and feelings. Health and wellbeing will be promoted through all opportunities and experiences offered.
Dependent on need and advice from parents, professionals and others. Needs will be met.
All parents will be encouraged to have a regular information exchange and invited to participate where appropriate.

Trained in tube feeding - experiences with microcephaly/cerebral palsy and confident in behavioural difficulties.

Further training will be accessed according to need of children cared for.
- How accessible is our setting?
Due to low ratios as a childminder activities and opportunities will be risk assessed according to the children present.
A ramp is available to the front door and downstairs toilet facilities are available. (Reasonable) adaptation will be considered.
Dependent on need but again reasonable adjustments will be made to ensure that resources are accessible and play area will be supportive of need.
