Barnsley YMCA Archers

YMCA Barnsley Archers are open for Juniors from the age of 10 upwards and is also for Adults. We Provide opportunities for people of all ages to participate in the sport of archery and coaching for already experienced archers to develop their skills.

The program is delivered by qualified Archery GB coaches who also hold a current CRB / DBS check

The club shoots indoors at the YMCA on Blucher Street, Barnsley and also has outdoor facilities at The Rockingham Centre, in Hoyland Common.

Indoor shooting usually take place on Tuesday evenings 7:00-9:30pm, Friday evenings 7.30-9.30pm & occasionally on Saturday mornings.

Outdoor shoots are held at the Rockingham Centre on Sheffield Road, Hoyland common, every Saturday at 11am until 4pm and Sundays 1pm until 4pm - During the summer we also shoot into the evening.

 We run popular beginner courses throughout the year.

The course consists of 4 weekly sessions of 3 hours duration giving a total of 12 hours instruction. This will enable you to shoot safely and give a basic shooting technique to build on.

These are run on a Saturday mornings 10.00am to 1.00pm at the Barnsley YMCA. Minimum age is 10 for our courses 

The course costs £35.00 for over 18's and £20.00 for under 18's Attendance at all 4 sessions is required to pass the course, then if you like you can become a fully fledged member of our club.
