Worsbrough Brass (Including Training band)
We are a Traditional Brass Band based in the village of Worsbrough, on the southern edge of Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
We rehearse twice weekly on Sunday and Thursday evenings.
For those interested in learning to play a brass instrument, the Band offers full tuition, by catering for a range of abilities within a group setting.
Every Member is provided with an instrument on which to learn, as well as music and uniforms.
All Members are given the opportunity to take Associated Board National Grades as a way to track their progress.
The Training Band has been created as a stepping stone to allow players to progress to the standard of the main Band. Members reaching this level will be welcomed into the main Band.
If you feel like learning a brass instrument then why not try our training band, Sunday evenings at 5.15 PM in the bandroom.
As part of the ongoing progression of Worsbrough Brass, members of both the senior and the training band will be encouraged and supported to take the ABRSM grades.
