Youth Offending Team

  • The Youth Offending Team provides interventions for young people aged between 10 and 17 years who are involved in the criminal justice system.  We also offer preventative programmes of support for young people who are at risk of offending.
  • We gave two parenting workers who support parents using a range of evidence based strategies.
  • There is a dedicated Education Team which consists of a Senior Education Welfare Officeer (pre-16 focus), a Targeted Information, Advice and Guidance Officer (post-16 focus) and a reintegration worker who works across both age groups.  They provide support, advice and guidance in order to help a young person improve attainment, attendance and commitment to education.
  • New Route - another prevention service - group-work focused - issue-based workshops and bespoke pieces of work with groups of young people.
  • Restorative Justice Practitioners who work with young people to pay back to the community for the offences they have committed.  Also, work with victims of crime and their families.
