Barnsley Child Protection Advocacy Service - Barnardo's
Barnsley’s Child Protection Advocacy Service provided by Barnardo’s is an independent Service which supports children and young people to express their opinions, wishes and feelings and ensure they play a central role in the child protection conference process. The Service consists of Advocacy sessions before conference, advocating during the conference and support for any review conferences.
Support is offered primarily to children and young people aged 11-17, however young people outside this age group will be considered if appropriate or in the case of sibling groups.
Experienced Advocates use a variety of child focused and age appropriate resources, many of which are designed by young people to support them in expressing their views.
