Kendray & Worsbrough Family Centre : Things to Do

Kendray and Worsbrough Family Centre based at the side of Bank End School.  We offer drop in sessions on a weekly basis.  We run groups for children ages 0-11years term time and school holidays provision for children up to 19 and 25 with a learning difficulty.  Great for meeting new friends for yourself and your child.   Come and meet our friendly Outreach Workers Vicki, Johana and Carol which are happy to help with any questions and will be here to make you welcome.

 

Monday

Citizens advice

A drop in group where you can drop in for advice and help from a Citizens Advice Advisor.  9:00am until 12pm everyone welcome.

 

Story and Rhyme (age 0-5 years Siblings welcome)

(Run by Worsbrough Libary)

A chance for children to play together that finishes with a new Story and Rhyme each week.   So come along to our Story and Rhyme session at Worsbrough Library at 10am-11.30am. 

 

Tuesday

First Friends (0-2 years)

Come along to our baby group where your child can join in with sensory, messy play and singing.  Our baby group runs at Kendray and Worsbrough Family Centre 10.30-11.30am. 

 

 Thursday

 

Little Millers (0-5 years)

Based at Mill Academy a school run playgroup.  A group where your children can play, take part in creative activities along with dancing and nursery rhymes.  Join us from 9am until 11am.

 

*NEW TIME* Outdoor Explores/Stay and Play (0-5 years)

A group where children can explore the outdoors.  We provide waterproofs and wellies for children aged 2-5 years so come along and explore the mud.  Lots of fun activities with vary each week just be aware we love water and messy play in this group.  Every Thursday from 10:00am until 11:30pm. 

 

Friday

Growing Friends (0-5 years)

Come and explore the curiosity approach with us every Friday 9:30-11:00am.  We do lots of fun activities which vary each week such as messy and sensory play and singing time.

The venue is situated on Overdale Avenue in Worsbrough.  We have a beautiful Outdoor area where we run Outdoor explorers on the front and on the back is nurseries outdoor space.  Our nursery was rated Outstanding this year by Ofsted in which we are very proud of.  Our nursery is currently doing the Curiosity Approach where we use natural resources in play.  Nursery Offers 2 year Funded places as well as 3 and 4 year 30 hours places. The Venue is used for nursery's morning and afternoon sessions, groups ran by Outreach Workers, the Midwife with book only appointments and the Health visitor which comes once a month.  We also run different courses such as Having a baby, Solihull, Webster Stratton, Talking Teens and sleep tight.  Also on site we also have a Sensory room in which you can book 30 minute slots. 

Kendray and Worsbrough is Centrals main site we also have Stairfoot, Dodworth, Monk Bretton and Worsbrough Common site in which we run groups and courses from.  More information on each these areas on this site.

Details
We ask for a donation of £1.50 per family for each session. Snacks and drinks will be provided for the children attending. The Sensory room can be booked for 30 minute slots at 50p a session per family.
