Samantha Keddy (Keddy Kiddy Kingdom)
Hi, I am Samantha Keddy, I'm an Ofsted Registered Childminder in Bolton Upon Dearne, I work with my childminder husband Robert and we have an assistant, Stephanie McGregor. We have full and part time places available for children of all ages with school pick up and drop offs available from local schools, Lacewood and Carrfield. We are fully insured and work to the EYFS ensuring children are stimulated and developing, but more than anything having fun, we have been OFSTED inspected and graded 3 times, we are more than happy with the progress the children we care for make.
We have a large enclosed garden, a dedicated playroom a separate arts and crafts room and plenty of equipment (toys, books, puzzles, arts and crafts, sandpit, swing, slide, trampoline, playhouse, etc etc....) we offer healthy meals and snacks. We offer goverment funding for eligible 2,3 & 4 year olds and have reasonable prices of which for some people tax credits will pay a proportion, we accept tax free childcare and childcare vouchers from Fidelity, Salary Exchange and Edenred and am happy to consider other companies. I'm only a 5 minute drive from Manvers (Capita, TSC etc). Parents and children are more than welcome to visit us on numerous occasions to meet and greet before making their decision.

Local Offer
- Description
How does the setting know if children/young people need extra help and what should I do if I think my child/young person may have special educational needs?
We recognise when a child needs additional help through our observations and assessments and will help you if this becomes the case.
How will you support my child or young person's SEN and disability?
Any child with special needs will be treated on an individual basis, staff have special needs training and are happy to undertake further training where required.
How will both you and I know how my child is doing and how will you help me to support my child's learning?
Diaries are shared daily and records of achievements are shared each term, any gaps in development will be spotted and addressed.
How will my child be included in activities outside of the setting?
The house if fully accessible and risk assessments will be put in place to ensure suitability.
How will you help to settle my child into the setting? How will you prepare them to move from the setting to the next stage of their life?
We like to offer plenty of settling in sessions, with and without parents present to help the children settle, we also work with local schools in order to make transitions as comfortable as possible for children.
How are parents involved in the setting? How can I be involved?
Parents are involved all the way, We share daily diaries, talk with prents at drop offs and pick ups, we have a secure and secret Facebook group to share photos and news with parents and are always happy to have parents contribute.
