Susan Mary Bradshaw ( Childminder)
I have been a childminder for 30 years and cared for children of all abilities and nationalities. I get all my work through recomendations from my parents and schools I have a level 3 qualification and a level 4 NVQ qualification And level 3 pediatric first aid. My most recent qualification is doing CDL in computer skills and Advanced Safeguarding Training. I try to keep up to date with all training. I believe children should have a variety of experiences throughout their time with me and the freedom to be children, nothing too structured but extend their skills/learning through the activities they are doing. I make sure I know all the children's routines and likes and dislikes so they can be happy, safe and content within my setting. I am a firm believer of using manners and sharing with one another and showing children how they have to help tidy away what they have played with (Choose it, use it and put it away)

I care for a 18 year old young man with special educational needs, I have cared for him from being 3 months old so he like part of my family. He leaves this year to start a new chapter in his life by going to Barnsley College to extend his life skills. Sometimes it has been a challenge but I wouldn’t change a thing.
