Mental Health : Self Care tips from Mind

Even small things can make a difference to your own mental health and wellbeing. Here are some things you could try:

Things you could do right now

  • Drink a glass of water
  • Take notice of your surroundings, name something you can see, hear, smell, and touch.
  • Allow yourself to really feel your feelings.

Things you could do today

  • Try and get a good night's sleep
  • Go for a walk
  • Try and just enjoy the moment

Things you could do this week

  • Write down all the things you have achieved this week; even if it's just managing a load of washing.
  • Set aside some time to do something you enjoy, paint, write, or just sing in the car.
  • Contact a friend and arrange to meet, have something to look forward to
